So, this is not a story about Jacob or Pat or me, but somehow I couldn't resist a laugh, or at least the shock factor involved...
Today was a historical day in the schools across the United States. For the first time children were addressed directly by the President. During his speech, my youngest sister Gracie, age 6, apparently decided it was appropriate to ask her teacher (and the rest of her class) some questions. It went a little something like this...
"Why is President Obama trying to take all our money to give to the poor?
Won't that make us poor?
And will he give it back?"
Yes. Yes, she did. In the middle of class. In the middle of President Obama's speech.
Obviously someone has been listening to the political talk in her house. Listening a little closer than anyone probably ever gave her credit for.
