Overrated

I like to keep track of some of my friends from high school through their blogs. I love to follow Jenny and her life with twins. She must be super mom... twin kiddos, full time job as a teacher, very involved in her church in Bowling Green, active social life, active blogger and she makes her own baby food - THAT deserves and award all of its own. A few days back she posted something NOT about kids, this post about things that are highly overrated.

I have recently found several things I previously liked to be quite overrated, and a few things that just never hit my radar.

My list would be as follows:
1. My iPhone and the ability to always be accessible
2. Makeup, except mascara
3. Getting up with the sun so as not to "burn daylight"
4. Starbucks coffee
5. Twitter
6. Yankee Candles
7. Fashion jewelry
8. Twilight and Harry Potter series
9. Paying big bucks to go see a movie in a movie theater, just rent it in a few months.
10. Bottle warmers

What about you? What are some things YOU think are "highly overrated?"

  1. Ok, so I have some that I agree with, disagree with and I've added a few of my own.

I agree with you on these:
    1. Twitter. I don't get it. Period.
    2. The Twilight and Harry Potter series (let's throw in Lord of the Rings, too)
    3. Bottle warmers AND wipe warmers. Wipe warmers - seriously?!

I disagree with you on these:
    1. The iPhone. I can't live without it.
    2. Starbucks coffee. I have an IV of it in me now....
    3. Fashion jewelry! You're crazy - I love it.

A few of my own that I think are overrated:
    1. Brangelina. Can't stand them.
    2. Octomom. Enough said.
    3. The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift
    4. High School Musical
    5. Being politically correct. Very overrated in my opinion.
    6. Oprah

    Have a great day!! :)

  2. haha. you give me entirely too much credit. i'm the farthest thing from supermom. in fact, i have spent the majority of this week wondering how everyone else makes it look so easy and i'm so crappy at it all!!

anyway, harry potter is awesome! and yankee candle! i mean, seriously!

but the rest i get. who wants to pay $9 to see a movie anyway when they're out in 4 months and then redbox has them for $1?!
